No Categories Review

Ubiquity has been putting out some of the illest artists in Trip-hop, Acid Jazz and Jungle for a while now and has come correct with a double CD sampler of their top peoples. Includes an Automator track with Half Shark/Alligator, Half man Kool Keith, a few cuts by Mr. Beat Junkie, Bugs and some Latin Flav with Bobby Matos' remake of The Creator has a Master Plan. The only problem with No Categories is that Shout outs are too short. I like to read CD booklets that shout out everybody the artist knows. Isn't that fun? You're like, 'Oh, word? I don't know him. Who's that? Never heard of her.' I love that shit. And with 10 different heads on here, just imagine all the shout outs they could have had if they just put some effort into it. 'Thanks to God, my momma, that girl at Starbucks that blew on my coffee for me, my man Crocker I buy buds from, that guy with the Cypress Hill skully that always stands on my corner. Oh, and I can't forget my cousin Nelson locked up in Bellvue and of course all my baby mommies. One love.' C'mon fellas, get with the times!
